About this support

Personal care with dignity

Support with showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and continence, getting in and out of bed, medication reminders and everyday routines. Your care plan is shaped around your needs.

Help around your home

Cleaning, laundry, light household tasks, meal preparation, shopping and garden maintenance can help you remain comfortable at home. Support with delivered meals excludes the cost of food.

Stay connected

Transport arrangements can help with medical appointments and social activities. Options may include a driver, transport vouchers or assistance getting to an activity, alongside group activities and social visits.

Allied health at home

Access professionals such as nurses, occupational therapists, podiatrists and physiotherapists for support with health and independence. Services are matched to your needs.

Companionship and volunteers

A conversation over tea, crafts or a board game can be part of staying connected. The volunteer programme offers home visits beyond package support hours. Volunteers are trained and supervised by professional staff.

Social work and family support

Social workers help navigate complex issues and external resources. This can include family support around cognitive decline, frailty, emotional distress or financial hardship, and guidance through aged-care planning.

Social clubs

Community-led clubs, supported by JewishCare, offer activities and connection across interests, languages and cultural backgrounds. They can also give carers a break while loved ones enjoy a supported social setting.

Care that understands you

Care Partners listen to you and your family to develop a person-centred plan. Services can be reviewed as needs change, within available funding and programme rules. Our team supports cultural needs; many staff speak Russian, Hebrew, Polish or Hungarian as well as English.

Funding and costs

Support may be arranged through an approved Support at Home package or privately, depending on the service and your circumstances. Ask the team about your options and the current price guide. Assessment, contributions and service availability must be confirmed for your situation.

Getting started

Contact JewishCare to discuss your needs. If you are enquiring on someone else’s behalf, make sure you have their permission. The current aged-care enquiry form accepts enquiries for yourself or another person and states a response within 2 business days.
